ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION / 1st PRIZE

Embassy of The Republic of Turkey

ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION 1st.PRIZE

Turkish Embassy, Baku-Azerbaijan

As per the request of the Turkish Embassy, the architectural plans, sketches, drawings, scale models and the related photographs can not be displayed due to the confidentiality agreement in place.

This project was awarded the first prize at the limited participant architectural competition held in 2001 by the Ministry of  Public Works and Settlements.

The long story of this project up to its application phase was published at the Chamber of Architects monthly bulletin in September 2003 together with other similar cases.

Despite the past ten years, today unfortunately we still witness such sad architectural competition episodes.

The embassy buildings are located within the Pioneer’s Park, in one of the most important districts of  Baku.

The residence, office buildings, cultural center, and personel lodgings were planned and constructed carefully, preserving the trees and the stone amphi theater in the former park.
