Divan Hotel

Located at a corner plot in Güniz Sokak, Ankara, the Divan Hotel was designed as a boutique city hotel.

For this plot, which was used as a car park for long years, various building projects were designed by various architects.

A shopping mall and office building designed in 1990’s and a hotel designed in 2001, were not realized due to the ownership changes of the plot.

Our Project, designed in 2004 for the plot’s new owner and its contractor-manager; Moment Yapı Inc. was realized and the hotel was in service by 2007.

The hotel was designed according to a minimalist concept in its plan and its facades, where we tried to maximize the number of guest rooms around a central shaft that rises throughout the building.
